Many bodies...One Heart: A Day of Mindfulness January 15 at Riverside Church, 10:00am-4pm, Room 8-T

Dear Friends,
Our monthly Day of Mindfulness is this Saturday January 15.*** We are very happy that Dennis Bohn, Jeanne Anselmo, Marjorie Markus and David Flint [me] will co-facilitate. All four have practiced in Sangha for many years [15-20] in our Sanghas. And, as some have heard, all four have been invited to Plum Village in February to be ordained as 'Dharma Teachers [or Dharmacaryas] by Thich Nhat Hanh, in the Lamp Transmission ceremony.

This Invitation has been extended to the four of us . We are asked to be a 'Sangha Body' and not just four individuals.

Our Senior Dharma Teacher Ahn- Huong has shared with us:
"Please do not think that the title Dharma Teacher will put you in a different position in your Sangha. It only helps you to become a truer brother or sister of your Sangha....you have an opportunity to feel more safe and more relaxed because you are now truer to yourself and to your community."

Our Day together is an opportunity for all of us to be truer to ourselves and a help and support to each other.

At Riverside Church, Room 8-T, 91 Claremont Avenue, between 120-122nd street, one block west of Broadway. Chairs and Cushions Available. Bring a vegetarian lunch-lunch is around 1-2pm. Please do not wear fragrances. Everyone welcome.
Take care,David Flint, Jeanne Anselmo, Dennis Bohn, Marjorie Markus
