Day of Mindfulness, Holiday Potluck on December 20

Day of Mindfulness December 20
10-4:15pm
Lily Zwyns will guide us in deepening our understanding and practice of compassionate communication using the way of Non-Violent Communication [NVC]. We will begin our Day with sitting and walking meditations, and maintain our practice of breath awareness throughout the Day.
Schedule: 10am-11:10-Sitting and walking meditation
11:15-12:30 [more or less]: NVC exercises
12: 40-1:15-Walking outside, or walking and sitting inside, depending on weather.
1:20-2:30: Lunch/Rest
2:30-4:15: Mindful Movements [Lily Z];
Five MindfulnessTrainings/Dharma Sharing/Close
The room gets cold: dress in layers so you can be comfortable.
Chairs and cushions available. Bring a vegetarian lunch. Please do not wear fragrances.
In room 630-MLK, at Riverside Church, 91 Claremont Avenue, between 120-122nd St., one block west of Broadway. Led by Lily Zwyns and David Flint.

Saturday December 20th we will have a Sangha Holiday Potluck with lots of singing and hanging out and the occasional bell ringing and quiet moments too. Bring yourself and bring bells, a musical instrument, and vegetarian food/non-alcoholic drinks to share--most important is your presence.
Time: 6-10pm
Location: Home of Marleenee Tamarong, 230 Riverside Drive, 3-M [95th Street at Riverside Drive, 1,2 or 3 train to 96th St./Broadway].
