A Month of Collective Practice
Peace Healing and Reconciliation: An Invitation for September 2011
"There is no way to Peace,Peace is the Way" Thich Nhat Hanh
Our tradition offers many practices to help us meet life's challenges from a place of peace, compassion and joy... and not out of fear, violence, suffering or worry.
This month let us collectively plant seeds of peace, with our Sanghas and in our daily lives. We encourage local Sangha members and local Sanghas to explore peace, healing and reconciliation practices from our tradition in our personal and collective practice during this month.
September 17 InterSangha Day of Mindfulness
Riverside Church, 8-T, 91 Claremont Avenue, NY, NY
To support this intention, there will be an InterSangha Day of Mindfulness offered on Saturday September 17th, from 10 to 4:30, at The Riverside Church. The Day will focus on teachings, study and practices that have inspired our local teachers as they reflect on this month which holds the 10th Anniversary of September 11th.
To help support the collective energy please arrive on time, plan to stay for the whole day and bring a vegetarian lunch.
Let us take this this month to strengthen our intention to plant seeds of peace and healing in our own hearts, the hearts of our families, communities, and society. May all our actions send peace, compassion, reconciliation and healing for the benefit of all Beings throughout space and time.
