December 19: Day of Mindfulness at Riverside Church, Room 8-T
We will celebrate Winter Solstice and Christmas with Thay's dharma talk on "the gift of non-fear" and on "no birth, no death."
And there will be a tea ceremony. Our Tea Ceremony includes a period of silent sharing together of tea and a snack. And then anyone who wants can share a song or play a musical instrument, offer a poem, a dance, etc.
In the Tea Ceremony we enjoy being together: the combination of silence and ceremony with letting go and having fun is quite pleasing.
As always, we will develop our Mindfulness of Breathing and practice sitting and walking meditation.
