Joanne Friday is a Dharma Teacher in the Order of Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh.
She offers retreats and Days of Mindfulness in the U.S. and Canada.
She considers the Dharma to be the most wonderful gift she has received and her greatest joy is to pass it on.

FACILITATORS
LYN FINE
Lyn, a co-founder of the Community of Mindfulness/NY Metro, is delighted to return to NYC for this Day of Mindfulness. Lyn received Lamp Transmission from Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in 1994 and has enjoyed sharing the Dharma in the USA and other countries. Currently she offers phone and in-person consultation for mindfulness practitioners and is watering the seeds of a mindfulness-based approach to peacebuilding through growing a Mindful Peacebuilding community network.  A peace educator by training and choice, Lyn is nourished by her European Jewish roots, the natural beauty of California where she currently lives, music, her family and friends,  and her passion for lifelong learning and multilingual practice.Website: www.mindfulpeacebuilding.org

ROSA ZUBIZARRETA
Rosa has been practicing mindfulness in the Thich Nhat Hanh tradition since 1995. Currently living in Massachusetts, she co-founded the Mindfulness, Diversity, and Social Change Sangha in Oakland, CA in 1997. This sangha is still active today. Rosa’s professional background is in organization development, multicultural education, and clinical social work. Particularly drawn to working with groups, Rosa enjoys practicing and teaching Dynamic Facilitation, a deep listening approach for transforming conflict into creativity. She has also trained in Re-Evaluation Counseling, Focusing, NVC Mediation and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Website:www.diapraxis.com
